How to Fix Both Lights Flashing Error on Epson L120?

Epson is a Japanese electronics manufacturer. It is one of the world's largest manufacturers of printers, imaging equipment, and information technology. The company is best known for its printers, but it also sells a wide range of products in many countries.

In this article, we'll look at a printer error that causes both the "Power" and "Error" lighting fixtures to flash continuously. Both Lights Flashing Error on Epson L120.

What Causes the Epson L120's Both Lights to Flash?

We chose to look into the problem after receiving multiple reports from various users and devise a variety of remedies to completely resolve it. In addition, we investigated the possible causes of this issue and listed them below.

Jammed Paper - In some cases, some paper may become jammed inside the printer, causing the printing process to be halted. This prevents the printer from printing properly and may also cause the error and power lights to flash continuously.

Printer Head Stuck- In some cases, the printer head may encounter resistance while moving across the rails. A foreign substance or a plastic component that has been broken from the printer could be blocking the trail of the head. If the printer head cannot move across the rails, the error is also triggered.

Paper Pulling Sensor- In some cases, the paper pulling sensor may become detached from the stand, preventing the paper from being pulled inside for printing and triggering the error.

Encoder Sensor Issue- One or both of the Transceiver Sensors may have been damaged, whether completely or partially. In some cases, the sensors may be dirty, causing the error to occur. Now having given you a basic knowledge of the root of the problem, we'll move on to solutions. Make sure to implement them in the exact order that they are presented.

Solution 1: In some cases, the printing process may be halted due to a printer malfunction. As a result, in this step, we will power cycle the printer. Because of this:

  •  Remove the power adapter for the printer from the plug socket.

  •  Keeping the "Power" button pressed for at least thirty seconds at a time.
  •  Keeping the "Power" button pressed for a minimum of thirty seconds.
  • Taking Off the Printer's Lid:
  • The printer's casing is held together by six screws.
  • Some of the screws may be hidden beneath the "warranty" stickers.
  • Remove all of the screws, ink cartridges, and casing by applying force at the joints.

Solution 2: Removing Jammed Paper

In some cases, there may be paper jams in the printer, causing the printing process to stall and the error to occur. As a result, once you've opened the printer, look inside for and remove any paper jams. Check to see if the problem persists after the paper jam has been removed.

Solution 3: Resistance Testing

There could be a foreign object or a piece of plastic from the printer that has become lodged inside it. As a result, ensure that no object is preventing the printer from functioning properly.
